New Man with a Stronger Mission

Can you believe it….2014 is more than halfway over. I’d like to thank all of you for your support for our email ministry and by receiving The Word we feed you weekly.  As we continue the weekly flow please remember that if you have any questions or  responses of any nature, please  email me personally at kbm3330@yahoo.com  or kevin@livingthelovewalk.org.  We welcome your questions, input, and feedback.
Over the past two years, since my sister Monet’s passing in October 2012, the email ministry has been going strong, although I had taken a short sabbatical in order to sort out my feelings…with the help of God, of course. In addition to being a brother and pastor of the family; I am now one of the elders that is holding the family together through the power of the Holy Spirit and His wisdom.
I believe I may have suppressed my feelings, or did I deny my flesh for the sake of others to lead the family during these sensitive times?  Good question pastor!!!!  When I arrived back in California I blended right into the daily agenda and even had some challenges I had to face.  But I also had secluded myself from everyone… but thank God the Father that my alone time was with the Holy Spirit, and he guided me all the way through these last couple of years. It was a while before I cried for my sister’s passing, but the tears of joy, relief, and freedom from the death of her body and the eternal life of her spirit gave me strength.
WOW… I felt like a new man with a stronger mission.  During that time the Holy Spirit had been ministering strongly about the ministry and where we are going.  So as we begin to wind down 2014, I would like to share with you a special devotional. This comes from a devotional book called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. (I strongly recommend this book) And Jesus Said:

“Come to Me with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed.  A close walk with Me is a life of continual newness.  Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year.  Instead, seek My Face with an open mind, knowing that your journey with Me involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind.  As you focus your thoughts on Me, be aware that I am fully attentive to you.  I see with a steady eye, because My attention span is infinite.  I know and understand you completely: My thoughts embrace you in everlasting  Love.  I also know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Give yourself fully to this adventure of increasing attentiveness to My Presence”.
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.  Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
AMEN
We would love to hear from you. Please leave your thoughts and comments below.
