Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformedby the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good pleasing and perfect will.
So how do we do this?
By honoring and obeying God and by refusing to be influenced by societal pressures. As we replace our old way of thinking and adopt an entirely new perspective from God’s point of view, we will begin to recognize God’s will more and more. We will find it easier to hear His voice in a variety of situations, instead of listening to our own
voice.
God will give us spiritual principles for everyday decision making. Remember, conforming to this world (This Age) is to fashion after and adapt to its external, superficial customs. Part of renewing the mind is meditating on the Word day and night as scripture tells us.
1Corinthians 15:33 tells us “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.”
Psalm 1:1-3 says: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither”. Whatever he does prospers. According to John 17:17 Sanctify (Separate) them by the truth, your Word is truth.
