“How happy you are when men hate you and turn you out of their company; when they slander you and reject all that you stand for because you are loyal to the Son of Man.  Be glad when that happens and jump for joy – your reward in heaven is magnificent”  Luke 6:22

“If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.  On their part He is blasphemed but on your part He is glorified.” 1 Peter 4:14

“If anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter” 1 Peter 4:16.

“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?”  1 Peter 4:17

“But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you are blessed, and do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.  1 Peter 3:14-15

“Make sure that your conscience is perfectly clear, so that if men should speak slanderously of you as rogues they may come to feel ashamed of themselves for abusing you for your good Christian behavior.”  1 Peter 3:16

“If it is the will of God that you should suffer it is better to suffer for doing good than for doing wrong.”  1 Peter 3:17

“Remember that Christ (the just) suffered for us (the unjust), to bring us to God”

1 Peter 3:18.

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His Eternal Glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, (will) make you perfect (mature), stablish (strong), strengthen (spiritually knowledgeable), and settle you.  To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever Amen”.  1 Peter 5:10
