As believers, the Bible promises us that one day we’re going to get a new body. This would make some of us wait with eager anticipation. Some may say “Great! No more aches and pains, no sickness or disease.” Yet others may say “Cool, no more wrinkles and double-chin, no pot-belly and love handles.” But what many of us forget is the very moment we received Christ, God gave us the ultimate gift. A gift so valuable and precious, it supersedes anything we could ever ask for.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:26, 27
