Inspiration: Shalom

ShalomHave you ever given careful thought to the meaning of the word SHALOM? The Hebrew word Shalom is understood around the world to mean “peace”. Peace is commonly understood as the absence of hostility; a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, a state of tranquility or serenity. However, from a Christian stance,
peace is completeness, wholeness, soundness, perfectness, fullness; such words that describe our Heavenly Father, Jehovah Shalom.

The Word of God says, “There is life or death in the power of the tongue”. I challenge you, from this day on, to speak a blessing into the lives of people you greet. Greet them with a hearty SHALOM, and allow the power of God Almighty to manifest in their lives.

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. So they shall put my name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.” Numbers 6:24-27 (NKJV)
